Whitney Houston’s Death and Bathtub Accidents

It was reported that the famous American singer Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub on Saturday night of February 11, 2012, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The coroner’s report did not show any foul play and that made me to conclude that a bathtub accident could have caused her death whether she was on drugs and drunk or not.

Bathtub injuries are included in the most common causes of death due to injury in the United States and often from drowning and submersion while in or falling into bath-tub after slipping or falling while bathing.

The bathroom is one of the most hazardous places in the home for accidents; as a matter of fact the majority of broken hips are the result of slipping in the bathtub. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that there are more than 300,000 bathroom accidents each year and that 2.5 million adults over the age of 65 need special assistance in bathing.
