President Buhari and the Political Amnesia of the Opposition

I don't believe in crying over spilt milk.

Politics will be boring without the political drama. Sit back with Coca Cola and popcorn and enjoy it, instead of having hypertension over Nigerian political cliques and intrigues.. Writing books on the current affairs of Nigerian politics is the best. Political history is important for political studies and for the benefit of posterity. My part two of "The Victory of Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Dream" is already in progress.

How Come "Black Panther" Did Not Get Nomination for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects?

How Come "Black Panther" Did Not Get Nomination for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects?

The phenomenal record breaking Marvel Studios' Black Panther became the first superhero movie to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar for the 2019 annual Academy Awards (Oscars) with a total of seven nominations, including Best Costume Design, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, and Best Original Song. But I am surprised it was left out of the nominees for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

Abia: Uche Ogah as a Liberator

Abia: Uche Ogah  as a Liberator

By  Chima Adiele

A new lease of life is no longer a distant dream for the people of Abia state.Their liberation from the shackles of desperate poverty and mindless deprivation is now a matter of weeks. Come March 2nd, 2019, Abians  will file out in their thousands to cast their votes for Uche Samson Ogah, the man with the midas touch who is waiting in the wings to rescue them from decades of mal-administration. Enemies of change who had fervently hoped that the little internal disagreement in the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC  will stall Ogah’s  march to the Government House are surly disappointed. They probably can’t fathom why APC as a party is sticking to the industrialist as its gubernatorial candidate. They had hoped that the party would cave in and impose a candidate with no vigour and rigor to deliver the desired change to Abia.

Mandela Said Obasanjo Was Corrupt and A Failure

Mandela’s Message To Nigerian Leaders- And The Collateral Damage Done To Nigerians By Poor Nigerian Leadership By Tony Ishiekwene
You know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not angry than they are.

Why Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Cannot Defeat President Muhammadu Buhari

Personally, I feel sorry for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the main opposition party, People's Democratic Party (PDP), because he is surrounded by political spongers who are telling him lies.

Atiku's worst problem is he has no grassroots movement like incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC). And without that, he cannot even rig his way to the Presidency.

Programme for the Annual IREP Docufilm Festival 2019

IREP Docufilm Festival 2019

9th IREP INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL TO HOLD 21-24 MARCH 2019.

The ninth edition of the annual iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival will hold from Thursday March 21 to Sunday March 24 2019, at its traditional home, Freedom Park, by Broad Street, Lagos, and the Nigerian Film Corporation, Ikoyi, Lagos.

General Idea:
The 2019 Festival is conceived on the traditional framework of Africa in Self-conversation.

Theme:
STORYLINES – it arises from current realities about imagery and perspectives. Technology is constantly redefining the impact of human experiences and challenging us to tell our story as a means of engaging the world with our identity, individuality and personal experiences.
Every human being is a story and we are constantly in pursuit of tools to advance and promote alternative facts about ourselves; and how we wish to be seen. The contention between what is real and what is preferred is shaping the currency of human exchange.
The ability to construct and reconstruct stories by anyone with a social media account is challenging the traditional story form. How would people own their stories without compromising the truth? How would documentary films respond to this reality?

Happy New 2019 Nigeria!

Happy New Year 2019!

A cool harmattan breeze is blowing in Lagos on the first day of January of the new year 2019 . The year has started beautifully for me after the awesome cross over praise and worship in fellowship with others at the Shiloh Sanctuary parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the glorious and victorious church of our Almighty Father JEHOVAH God on earth where we love to make joyful noises with shouts of HALLELUJAH!. We had an  anointing and holy communion service with overflowing outpourings of the Holy Spirit. JESUS Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. We clapped and shook hands in jubilation. I hugged our pastor to thank him with congratulations. There were celebrations to thank Almighty God to be alive and well to welcome the new year with fireworks and street parties as we left for our houses.

I always like to see the Big Picture of the future. We love our country. We want the best for our people. We  prayed for peace, progress, security and unity in Nigeria. . 2019 is an awesome year of awesome things of the manifestations of the infinite glory of our infinite Almighty God who is going to do awesome wonders in our lives with celebrations and thanksgivings.
Happy New Year with Cheers all the way to the top!

Hugs and kisses,
EKENYERENGOZI Michael Chima,
The Knight in Shining Armour, Defender of the beautiful and the faithful children of God.
