The development of the Creative Economy is hinged on the development of the Digital Economy in the 21st century.

The creative industry in the 21st century is driven by digital technology from the street to the internet. 

Monetization of every format of intellectual property (IP) is mostly generated by digital applications of production, acquisition, distribution, collection and exhibition of which the transactions for the revenues are through fintech applications and services.

We cannot have a robust creative

economy without the support of the digital economy. Both economies have become interlocked as can be seen in Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, X and the new developments by the MultiChoice Group in Africa. 

The largest revenues of the entertainment industry are online.

Where else can we have billions of downloads and views of content?

ZENITH International Film Festival's Merchandise for Fashion and Lifestyle

Film festivals are established for the promotion of the film industry which includes film tourism and movie merchandise and so much more in show business.

I have written on the huge film tourism and movie merchandise industry which have been very successful from Hollywood to Bollywood generating billions of dollars. And I have completed my feasibility studies for film tourism and movie merchandise for Ñollywood and the Nigerian film industry. The articles were published on Indiewire and Shadow and ACT since 2016. The articles have also been published on my Nigerians Report Online with the feature on the best film locations in Nigeria having over 5, 000 pageviews so far.

ZENITH International Film Festival will generate revenues from international film acquisition and distribution; film tourism, movie merchandise and from the hotels and guest houses for the participants and tourists.

The following selections of the merchandise which I have designed will create jobs and boost the creative economy of Nigeria.

I was invited to the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) Cultural Day at the Balmoral Convention Centre of the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino on Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

All the glitz and razzmatazz of the fanfare of colourful fashion and style of Nigerian haute couture were displayed on the red carpet of the well organized event.

I saw popular Nollywood actor Wole Ojo and other celebrities dressed in their traditional Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and other tribal attires.

The AMVCA’s is the biggest Television and Film industry event of the year.

As part of its lineup, the AMVCA awards would benefit having a cultural day.

Tems' Symbolic #OscarsSoWhite Costume at the 95th Oscars 

Tems, the co-writer of Rihanna’s Oscar-nominated song, “Lift Me Up” was the talk of the annual 95th Academy Awards held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Her spectacular white costume blocked the view of those sitting behind her. 

Of course, she and the designer deliberately wanted to raise eyebrows at the Oscars and make news headlines and they succeeded. The white Lever Couture gown “stole the show" and became the talk of Tinseltown from Hollywood to Nollywood of her own country, Nigeria. 

To me, Tems' awesome all white costume echoed the #OscarsSoWhite first tweeted in 2015 by activist April Reign in response to the 20 acting nominations for the Academy Awards all being granted to white actors. The hashtag raised the question of white racism of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and called for diversity and inclusion in the nominations for the Academy Awards. But as much as AMPAS has tried to end the dominance of Whites in the American nominees, we can see that the Oscars are still So White.
