FAST & FABULOUS Duo Join Forces Against Human Traffickers

FAST & FABULOUS

FAST & FABULOUS is a fictional action drama for the inspiration of girls and women to unite against human trafficking in every community in the world.

Two fabulous besties join forces to rescue innocent girls and women from notorious human traffickers from Nigeria to Libya to Saudi Arabia to Italy and back with their fast cars and fast power bikes.

The first part of the action thriller is going to be based on a true life story of the rescue of a secondary school girl among those lured by human traffickers from Benin in Edo State to Kano State in Nigeria and across the border into the Republic of Niger and through the scorchy Sahara Desert to Libya from February to April, 2016.

She was rescued and returned to Nigeria and reunited with her family in Benin.
I paid for her rehabilitation and skills acquisition in a beauty and hairdressing salon to become an hairstylist. Her name is Success. She is now a model with offers of international modelling photo sessions for magazines and shows in America and Europe.

"The Hand of God" (Italian: È stata la mano di Dio), the 2021 Italian drama film written, directed, and produced by Academy Award winner, Paolo Sorrentino is affirmatively one of the best films of the year.

The Cinematography should get a nomination at the 94th Academy Awards  for  Daria D'Antonio.

It competed for the Golden Lion at the 78th Venice International Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize.

It is the Italian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards.

The Story:

In 1980s Naples, young Fabietto pursues his love for football as family tragedy strikes, shaping his uncertain but promising future as a filmmaker.

"The Hand of God" is a story full of unexpected joys, such as the arrival of football legend Diego Maradona, and an equally unexpected tragedy. Fate plays its part, joy and tragedy intertwine, and Fabietto's future is set in motion. Sorrentino returns to his hometown to tell his most personal story, a tale of fate and family, sports and cinema, love and loss.

Starring:Filippo Scotti, Toni Servillo, Teresa Saponangelo

My Verdict: It will get up to 4 nominations at the 94th Academy Awards for the Best International Feature Film, Best Cinematography, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Juventus Inaugurates its New Stadium

Juventus Inaugurates its New Stadium

Boasting 41.000 seats and the highest quality standards, the Juventus Stadium is the premier, club-owned facility in Italy

The opening ceremony was created by Olympic Ceremony producer, Marco Balich

TURIN, Italy, September 9, 2011/PRNewswire /— Juventus inaugurated this evening its new stadium, the premier club-owned facility in Italy.

"I am proud", said Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, "that Juventus finally has its own home. For us it is an historic moment. In addition to its sentimental value, the new stadium is actually an investment that allows us to bring Juventus to the level of the top clubs in Europe. In addition, being close to the playing field, the fans can participate and let their team hear all their support."

Some of the best-known Black and Whites of all time, including Giampiero Boniperti, Dino Zoff, Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon, participated in the show, which, took the Juventus values of tradition, innovation and style, and created from them moments where the fans were also involved.

The top-class ceremony, was designed by Marco Balich, President of K-events/Filmmaster Group (www.kevents.it) and one of the greatest creators of international events. "I am very proud", said Marco Balich, "of having had the assignment from Juventus to create such an important event in the history of football and to be back in the city of Turin, where I was a commentator at the Olympic ceremonies in 2006. The show was made possible by the collaboration of leading industry professionals worldwide and with the support of 800 volunteers."

The volunteers were directed by Bryn Walters, one of the leading world experts in mass choreography for large events and ceremonies. Preparation for the show required a total of 150 hours of trials. Particularly thrilling was the final choreography, using over 420 performers dressed in LED costumes and involving the public, descending from the stands and giving life to the great final words on the field: "Welcome Home".

After the ceremony, Juventus played a friendly match with Notts County, the Nottingham team from which the black and white jerseys of Juventus came in the early twentieth century.

THE NEW STADIUM - The idea for the new facility originated in 1996 and construction was completed between the summers of 2009 and 2011. It has excellent visibility (the farthest row is just 7.5 meters from the field) and high quality standards in security and services, both for the standard seats and for the Premium Club. The latter, which includes about 4000 seats and offers exclusive high level services, can be used by companies for public relations activities during matches and also during the week.

Built in the area that housed the Delle Alpi, where Juventus played from 1990 to 2006, the new stadium has a capacity of 41,000 seats and covers, with the external areas, an area about 360,000 m2, which also includes the impressive shopping mall “Area 12”, the Museum (which will open next spring), 30,000 square meters of green areas and about 4000 parking places.

The investment, which amounts to about 122 million, endows the company with an important business asset. The stadium compares favourably with the best at a continental level and is, in fact, essential for increasing revenues. With the new stadium, the company aims to achieve a more balanced revenue stream enabling it to compete with leading European clubs.

Cooperation: inter-faith school in Nigeria

ROME, March 29, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- In the heart of Nigeria's poorest region and the one most torn by inter-faith conflict, a boarding school run by the Augustinian Fathers provides first-rate education for 200 children of all faiths. The middle school in New Karo, an outlying district of the capital, Abuja, is where in September 2009 the latest Italian Development Cooperation project was launched in Nigeria to provide secondary education for the young people of Nassarawa.

Built by Apurimac, an Italian non-governmental organisation (NGO) with a contribution from the Order of St. Augustine and the Directorate General for Development Cooperation, the school accommodates 220 pupils, many of them from Muslim families. It provides full board throughout the school year, along with top-rate services such as sports facilities, laboratories and highly qualified teaching staff.

Apurimac also runs a vocational training centre in Jos, in the Plateau State, a region sadly renowned for inter-ethnic violence. Here, 400 people learn vocational and craft skills in the dressmaking, catering and information technology sectors.

Italy troubled by religious intolerance in Nigeria

Nigeria / Italy / Minister Frattini expresses concern over episodes of religious intolerance in Nigeria

ROME, December 27, 2010/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- Foreign Minister Franco Frattini is following with great concern the dramatic news from Nigeria, where the recent serious episodes of religious intolerance have produced a sad toll of bloodshed.

“As the violence is linked to the profession of a religious creed, those universal principles of peace and goodwill which are the essence of each and every religion are being painfully undermined”, stated Fratttini.

“The firm condemnation of all forms of violence and intolerance is a crucial element of Italy's commitment to freedom of religion and religious tolerance”.

Minister Frattini concluded: “My profound sadness for the victims goes hand in hand with a strong appeal for moderation and peaceful co-existence between different faiths to prevail in Nigeria”.

Ivory Coast, Italian Development Cooperation sends kits

Foreign Minister Franco Frattini is following the situation in Ivory Coast very closely. His concern can be set against the effort by the international community, and the European Union in particular, to ensure that the grave tensions sweeping the country are dampened down. The only legitimate solution to achieve this end is the unconditional acceptance, without further delay, of the outcome of the presidential election held on 28 November.

The humanitarian crisis that has emerged in the wake of the political turmoil and which affects those who have sought refuge in the neighbouring countries of Liberia, Ghana and Guinea is a source of great concern. To make a concrete contribution to tackling the emergency, Minister Frattini has issued instructions to Italy's Development Cooperation to send medical kits to the region. These will support the response plan currently at an advanced state of preparation by the World Health Organisation.

The Development Cooperation medical kits were delivered recently to the United Nations Humanitarian Depot in Brindisi, and from there were shipped to the Depot in Accra. They will be distributed over the next few days to relieve the hardships of the local populations. The operation is worth about 300,000 euros in total.

Legality of Berlusconi's Television Monopoly Challenged

NEW YORK and STRASBOURG, France, March 11, 2010/PRNewswire/ --

- Europe's Top Court Urged to Address Italy's Media Pluralism Gap

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's control over television broadcasting in Italy goes against European democratic standards, the Open Society Justice Initiative argued in a brief filed today with the European Court of Human Rights. The Italian broadcaster bringing suit, Centro Europa 7 s.r.l., has been denied access to the airwaves for almost a decade.

"This case highlights the failure of successive Italian governments to deal with the twin problems of concentrated control and conflict of interest in broadcasting," said James A. Goldston, executive director of the Open Society Justice Initiative. "The Italian situation is unacceptable for a democracy, and we are calling on the European Court to uphold the principles of media pluralism."

In 1999, Italian authorities granted Centro Europa 7 a license to operate a national television station but failed to offer it an actual operating frequency until December 2008. The frequency should have been relinquished under national anti-trust law by the Mediaset Group, Italy's dominant private broadcasting company. Mediaset operates the country's top three private television channels and is controlled by the Berlusconi family.

"Italy has the most concentrated television ownership in Europe," said Goldston. "This lack of diversity can stifle debate and limit the public's access to information and critical perspectives."

As head of government, Berlusconi also has indirect authority over Italy's state-owned public service broadcaster, Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI). Together, Mediaset and RAI jointly control roughly 90 percent of audience and advertising revenue shares nationally. Centro Europa 7 claims the frequency it was finally granted in 2008 was squeezed out of RAI's existing frequencies and is unsuitable for operating a national television network across Italy.

In 2004, both the Council of Europe and the European Parliament condemned the open conflict of interest between Mr. Berlusconi's media interests and his political responsibilities when in government, yet the situation persists. The current government has been repeatedly accused of partisan interference with RAI's editorial choices.

The Justice Initiative intervened in this case as an independent third party acting in the public interest.

The Open Society Justice Initiative (http://www.justiceinitiative.org/) uses law to protect and empower people around the world. Through litigation, advocacy, research, and technical assistance, the Justice Initiative promotes human rights and builds legal capacity for open societies.
