Ada Ure, First Daughter of Beauty

Ada is the Igbo name for the first daughter.

Her body decorated with Uli black dye motifs.

Uli is as old as 3000!BC

Igbo mythology said Uli was a gift from Ala, the goddess of earth, who blessed women with the ability to create art.

The Igbo tribe has the oldest monarchy in Africa dating back to the ancient Igbo Ukwu during the Bronze Age around  3,000-2,500 BC,  same period of the Indus Valley Civilisation.

Uli Si Naka Chi

Means Art of Uli comes from the hand of destiny or God.

This esoteric NFT is done in Nsibidi, ancient form of writing in pictograms,  logograms or syllabograms by the Igbo tribe and related ethnic groups in South Eastern Nigeria. Insibidi means the Beginning in Igbo language.

I have been exhibited in Japan in 1983 when I was 20 and my works were insured by the UNESCO. I was exhibited in the National Museum of Nigeria and curated the first Art Against AIDS Exhibitions in Nigeria in 1993 at the National Museum and National Arts Theatre in Lagos. All the works were collected.

My highest priced works in oil paintings on canvas were, "The Metamorphosis of the HIV in the T-Cell" was bought by Family Health International (FHI) and "Eruption of the Love Virus" bought by a private art collector. $20,000 for each one at first exhibition in the National Museum in 1993.

I will iPost you soon!

 I will iPost you soon!

It is incredible that since I have been investing in the development of my iPost, not a single member of my family or relations and none of my  friends and none among those who claim to know me has asked me for the status update on it. They are totally clueless about the present status and this clearly shows how ignorant they are of my state of mind and stream of consciousness, including those who have slept in the same bed with me. Their intellectual ignorance of my preoccupation is shocking.
They only talk about the critical situation of my current lack of money and debts of owing over N280, 000 which is less than US$500 for the first time since I was born and I am 59, with a debt free duly Incorporated digital media company with a corporate bank account with Access Bank Plc.
As I speak I have become homeless and surviving by the grace of Almighty God through the kindness of few people, including members of my family, confidants and well wishers.

No greatness comes without great trials.

Only key members of the Nigerian tech community and global tech startups community are asking for updates and setting up both physical and virtual meetings for me with funders and investors such as Techstars.

PAYFAST Decentralized Fintech Service

PAYFAST Decentralized Fintech Service

Business model:SaaS

Customer:B2C / C2C

International Digital Post Network Limited is developing iPost mobile video app for news, entertainment and social networking that was  shortlisted for the Fund for Internet Research and Education – FIRE Africa Awards

for tech innovation in 2014 and currently developing PAYFAST  fintech app for decentralization of financial transactions between all the users for borrowing and lending; buying and selling and funding their Small Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) for the retail industry in Nigeria with over 39 million MSMEs.

The MSMEs industry in Nigeria is estimated to be worth $100 billion.

The SMEs sector is the backbone of major developed economies, as well as important contributors to employment, economic and export growth. In Nigeria, SMEs contribute 48% of national GDP, account for 96% of businesses and 84% of employment.

Both iPost mobile video app and PAYFAST will need OneLiquidity apps integration for payments in crypto currency, eCommerce payments and crypto wallets

PAYFAST, is a totally decentralized loan app that will most likely kill all the loan sharks and may compel other fintech services and banks to reduce their interest rate on loans to single digit amount or lose all their applicants for loans to PAYFAST that allows users to borrow and lend to themselves with only 5% interest rate.

There will be PAYFAST Cooperatives in every community with the PAYFAST Business Fund to fund the enterprises of members of the Cooperatives with loans from N50, 000 minimum to N1 million maximum.

PAYFAST ultimate goal is to reduce poverty by 80% by wealth creation and distribution with Nigeria as the launch pad before other countries.

PAYFAST is the solution to the poor funding of SMEs; exploitation of underprivileged low income earners by loan sharks and banks and slow integration of advanced digital apps.

The primary purpose of PAYFAST Cooperatives is financial inclusion for (i) universal access to financial services;

(ii) providing basic  financial services (iii) access to livelihood and skill development, (iv) financial literacy and education for the economic empowerment of the underprivileged.

What is Financial Inclusion?

Financial inclusion refers to the delivery of financial services at affordable costs to disadvantaged and low-income segments of society. In this way, they are being included in the financial services industry.

1.7 billion

adults worldwide lack access to basic financial services

63 %

is the amount of financially included adults in developing economies

Why is Financial Inclusion Important?

Without access to basic financial services, people in poverty are unable to perform many common functions that could drastically improve their lives. When they are financially included, they can start to build assets and take other steps to improve their standard of living. They can save money, qualify for a loan to expand a business; build a house; have a safe way to make payments to schools, medical services and so much more.

FORBES: The Best Children’s Books About Entrepreneurship For Kids

Eevi Jones, bestselling author.

The Best Children’s Books About Entrepreneurship For Kids

by Stephanie Burns

A lot of parents (myself included) are always looking for ways to expand our children’s mind - especially when it comes to entrepreneurship. If you are eager to teach your kids about being a business owner, there are a few books that stand out. I sat down with Eevi Jones, an award winning & bestselling children’s book author, and the founder of Children’s Book University™, to get her take on what makes a children’s book great for budding entrepreneurs.
 From Forbes.

The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes by Gary Rubinstein (Author)  Mark Pett (Author)

Description

Being Perfect Is Overrated

Beatrice Bottomwell has NEVER (not once!) made a mistake. She never forgets her math homework, she never wears mismatched socks, and she ALWAYS wins the yearly talent show at school. In fact, the entire town calls her The Girl Who Never Makes Mistakes! One day, the inevitable happens: Beatrice makes a huge mistake in front of everyone! But in the end, readers (and perfectionists) will realize that life is more fun when you enjoy everything--even the mistakes.

From the award-winning children's book author Mark Pett: The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes is the perfect find for parents looking for teacher gifts or award winning children's books for their own collections. This book teaches growth mindset in a fun way, in the spirit of Your Fantastic Elastic Brain and Beautiful Oops. Like the little heroes in Rosie Revere Engineer, Most Magnificent Thing, and The Day the Crayons Quit, little Beatrice Bottomwell is an inspiration for kids who dream big.

Praise for The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes:

"Beatrice offers a lesson we could all benefit from: learn from your mistakes, let go, laugh, and enjoy the ride." --Jennifer Fosberry, New York Times bestselling author of My Name Is Not Isabella

"This funny and heartfelt book conveys a powerful message about how putting too much pressure on yourself to be perfect can suck the joy out of everything. Beatrice's discovery that you can laugh off even a very public mistake shows the importance of resiliency and helps perfectionist kids keep things in perspective. Most importantly, Beatrice reminds the reader that it's more important to enjoy the things that you do than worry about doing them perfectly." --A Mighty Girl

Moving Nigeria Forward To The Next Level

~ By Roy Agiande

It is no longer news that the world has been hit by a severe financial crisis often compared to the Great Depression of the early 1930s and countless jobs have been lost worldwide due to this catastrophic phenomenon. It is scary to note that developed countries are shedding jobs, recording huge losses, cutting down on production cost and salaries. Worthy of note is the report that the UK has been hit by an unemployment figure of over 2.4 million which is the worst recorded over a decade. These are countries that have a well structured policy of job creation and backup policy to absorb the different fluctuations and shortcomings of the economy. I begin to wonder if there is hope for Nigeria, a less developed country where both the Private and Public sectors are all counting monumental losses, some banks are experiencing what you may call SYSTEMATIC FAILURE; where the Apex Bank has sacked the CEOs of major banks for gross insider abuse and the stock market experiencing a meltdown.

There are so many ways of helping the economy bounce back and diverse from its traditional mono-economic ways. One of which is to inject capital to the ailing and hungry sectors. Startup Weekend Nigeria is one of such avenues of doing just that. Fresh and radical business ideas proposed and funded from the scratch and new entrepreneurs are created. If you ask me, it’s like killing two birds with one stone. How?

By creating about 10 companies every Startup Weekend means new jobs would be created as well and the spin-offs could boost the economy, thereby complimenting the government’s efforts of job creation. Secondly, it’s also a way of capital injection to the cash strapped economy. Past minister of finance and present World Bank President, Dr (Mrs.) Ngozi Iweala once said:
“Create entrepreneurs, because it is a definite catalyst for job and wealth creation.”

It might interest you to know that some of the biggest businesses in the United States started as startups which eventually turned to multibillion dollar companies. Believe it or not, Nigeria is blessed with a large array of great thinkers and business minds which are going to be harvested and utilized to full capacity through Startup Weekends in Nigeria. It would also address the issue of the pool of unemployed graduates and those fresh from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme.
