Can Instagram' s REELS Compete With TikTok?

The buzz of the week has been the launch of Instagram’s #TikTok Competitor, #Reels in India and I joined the discussion after I received the updates from Today in Tech by AngelList

I know that the overwhelming popularity of TikTok will rattle Mark Zuckerberg and others from Mountain View to Silicon Valley.

"In the wake of India’s decision to ban TikTok and dozens of other Chinese apps over privacy concerns, Instagram has expanded its TikTok rival, known as Reels, in the region. The test in India also comes only days after Facebook announced its standalone TikTok clone, Lasso, would be shutting down on July 10."- https://techcrunch.com/2020/07/06/instagram-reels-arrives-in-india-following-tiktoks-ban/amp/

Is there any need for Instagram to start Reels to compete with TikTok?

Reels does not sound as catchy as TikTok which is from tick-tock sound of the clock and it  resonates with everyone instantly. But Reels does not resonate with anyone.
Having a catchy name that  can denote what everyone can relate to and resonate with everyone matters a lot in the highly competitive world of every business and most especially for social media and can determine the success in branding for advertising promotions and attractions to the target audience. That is why Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Telegram and now TikTok are global attractions on the internet.
The first thing is to get the right catchy name. And Reels is not a catchy name.
There are many hints of catchy names and phrases that will instantly resonate with everyone everywhere.
