President Buhari Will Achieve in 2 Years What Jonathan Failed To Achieve in 6 Years

President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Goodluck Jonathan.

President Muhammadu Buhari will achieve within two years what former President Goodluck Jonathan failed to achieve in six years in office. The outstanding new management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) alone has already achieved within a month what the NNPC failed to achieve under Jonathan!
It is really amazing to see that the NNPC can be reformed and transformed before our very eyes!
Reforms are also coming in the federal agencies of Customs and Immigration where corrupt practices have been daily routines for decades. The NNPC, Customs and Immigration have been the most corrupt over the years with the NNPC being the worst embarrassment to the Nigerian government that even the former British PM Tony Blair told the new President of Nigeria that if he can fix the NNPC, he will succeed to reform and transform Nigeria.
This is what President Buhari is already doing that is making me to be proud of him.
What former President Jonathan did not have the balls to do, because he compromised his principles in political cronyism and nepotism that made his administration one of the worst administrations in the political history of Nigeria since independence on October 1, 1960.

What disappointed me most was the failure of former President Goodluck Jonathan to even develop his home state of Bayelsa, the oil producing state in the oil rich Niger Delta without any airport and without any seaport and not even a ferry service!
Mr. Ateki told the News Agency of Nigeria in Otuoke that lack of drinking water was the major problem in the community.
According to him, the situation is due to the pollution of rivers in the area by oil spillage. He said the community had suffered inadequate potable water over the years, and urged the state and federal governments to provide residents with potable water.
“Otuoke community depends on rivers and now that all the rivers are polluted by oil, it is difficult for us to get potable water here,”
Mr. Ateki said. Emmanuel Agede, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, serving in the area, expressed dissatisfaction with the situation and called for government’s intervention.
“You will not believe it that here in Otuoke, we use water from an unused suck-away pit dug near our lodge, for washing clothes and bathing. “For cooking and drinking, we buy sachet water; life is very difficult here; we spend the bulk of our monthly allowances on water for survival.”

From when he was the Deputy Governor from May 1999 to December 2005, and later took over as the executive Governor from December 2005 to May 2007 and was collecting more than N170 billion as annual revenue allocation, Mr. Jonathan failed to develop Bayelsa State that has a small population of less than 3 million people, the size of two local government areas in Lagos State.

Bayelsa collects more annual federal revenue allocation than Lagos, the most populated state in Nigeria with more than 20 million people. Former President Jonathan could not even build an ordinary airstrip or jetty in Bayelsa State as the Governor and still failed to develop the state when he became the Vice President and then the President of Nigeria for 6 years.

Today, he cannot fly straight to Bayelsa, because he failed to build an airport in the state.
He flies to the Port Harcourt International Airport and then a helicopter will take him to Bayelsa State. What a shame.
