Wisconsin is the Worst State for Blacks in America
10 Worst States for Black Americans
NEW YORK, Aug. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In an article out today, financial news and opinion website 24/7 Wall St. reports that Wisconsin is the worst state in the country for black Americans. The Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts of 1965 — ending decades of government-sponsored racial oppression and intended to reverse the effects of hundreds of years of slavery — by no means have resolved racial inequality in the United States. The Zika Virus Has Arrived In The Continental U.S.
The Zika Virus Has Arrived In The Continental U.S.
~ By Niall McCarthy

Federal health officials in the U.S. have warned pregnant women to avoid traveling to a neighborhood in Miami where up to ten more cases of Zika have been diagnosed, more than likely caused by local mosquitoes. According to officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this marks the first time that people have been warned to avoid a certain U.S. community on health grounds. Four cases of the virus were diagnosed at the weekend, presumably spread by local mosquitoes. This has now increased to ten with the outbreak currently confined to a 1-square mile area north of downtown Miami. A CDC emergency response team is now being sent to Florida to help contain the outbreak amid fears of another locally transmitted case in Miami-Dade County, outside the neighborhood where the other instances of Zika occurred.
According to data released by the CDC late last week, there were a total of 1,658 Zika cases across the continental U.S. as of July 27, the vast majority of which were travel-associated. The ten new cases in Miami, coupled with four at the weekend, has brought the total number of cases locally acquired through mosquitoes to 14. So far, U.S. overseas territories have had to cope with a substantial number of Zika cases, some 4,729 in all, the vast majority of which were locally transmitted.

NOI-Polls: Domestic Violence Heightened by the Economic Hardship in Nigeria; Women At The Receiving End
Domestic Violence Heightened by the Economic Hardship in Nigeria; Women At The Receiving End
Abuja, Nigeria. August 2nd, 2016 –A recent Public Opinion poll conducted by NOIPolls Limited in partnership with Project Alert on domestic violence has revealed an increasing prevalence of domestic violence across Nigeria in recent times as reported by about 8 in 10 (78 percent) respondents. This prevalence is highest in the South-West geo-political zone (86 percent) and lowest in the South-South zone (70 percent). More findings revealed that 54 percent of Nigerians have suffered a form of domestic violence or know someone that has experienced domestic violence in their homes with majority of the victims being women as stated by 75 percent of respondents; although ‘men’ (16 percent) and ‘children’ (9 percent) are also known to be victims of domestic violence. Moreover findings from a similar poll conducted by NOIPolls in 2012 which revealed that 4 percent of the respondents were victims and 29 percent indicated they know victims of domestic violence, potrays an increase in the occurrence of domestic violence in Nigeria when these figures are compared to recent figures.

Hotel Market in Nigeria To Grow To US$507 Million By 2020 ~ PwC Outlook
The hotel market in Nigeria has not fared as well as South Africa with stay unit nights dropping 12% and room revenue down by 3.6% over the past two years.
There are a number of new hotels planned or under construction and we forecast an additional 4 700 rooms to be added in Nigeria during the next five years. Hotel room revenue is expected to grow to US$ 507 million in 2020 from the US$321 million achieved in 2015, due to increases in both stay unit nights and average room rates.

Human Trafficking is the Third Biggest Criminal Enterprise in the World
Fellow delegates, human trafficking is the third biggest criminal enterprise in the world.
As long as ISIS is selling girls for $165, and parents in Nigeria are left with nothing but bows and arrows to chase the terrorists who steal their daughters in the middle of the night, we will never have a just and good world. Because when women are held back, democracies falter.
