We Need Database of Nollywood and Kannywood Movies

Who is the director of "The Flute"?

Writing comprehensive analyses on Nollywood and Kannywood can cause migraine, because of the lack of records of many of the movies online and offline.

One of the best Nollywood movies, "Igodo", 1999, the epic directed by  former President of DGN, Andy Amenechi and Don Pedro Obaseki is poorly documented that an ignorant writer for Pulse Nigeria said it was directed by Andy Amechi.  Well, Andy Amenechi is the right name.

Thousands of Nollywood and Kannywood movies are on #iROKOtv, #YouTube, #Facebook and other websites without enough information on the directors.
A review of "Pot of Life" on Naij.com did not name the director and only listed leading members of the cast; Clem Ohameze, Yvonne Jegede, Frederick Leonard and Walter Anga (2015).
How can any literate person review a movie without naming the director?
It is like a book review without naming the author.

The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Association of Movie Producers (AMP) that should be changed to Producers Guild of Nigeria (PGN) and the National Library have no database for Nollywood and Kannywood.

I want to write on how #Nollywood and #Kannywood promote ecotourism. I have included "Igodo", 1999;  Izu Ojukwu's "Sitanda", 2006 and " White Waters ", 2008; Ini Edo's "I'll Take My Chances", 2012"; Tunde Kelani's "Arugba", 2008; Kunle Afolayan's "The Figurine: Araromire", 2009; Ifeanyi Onyeabor's "Fulani", 2015 and still counting.

Nigeria has no respect for archives, record keeping and the preservation of important documents of the past according to Prof. Olutayo Adesina, President, Society of Nigerian Archivists (SNA), during the 2017 International Archives Day (IAD), commemorated on June 9, 2017.

The library of every university in Nigeria must have a section for Nollywood and Kannywood in DVDs, MPs, Books and Tablets.
