Lagos is the Most Resilient Megacity in Africa
Sabo area in Yaba, Lagos. From my "Lagos in Motion" documentary film on one of the most resilient mega cities in the world. “
"A Resilient City is one that has developed capacities to help absorb future shocks and stresses to its social, economic, and technical systems and infrastructures so as to still be able to maintain essentially the same functions, structures, systems, and identity." https://www.resilientcity.org › ...
The first interactive documentary film on the resilience of Lagos was "Lagos Wide and Close: an Interactive Journey into an Exploding City" produced in 2002 by Rem Koolhaas and The Harvard Project on the City. It was directed by Bregtje van der Haak.

I Need Your Support
URGENT APPEAL FOR SUPPORT
Due to unforeseen circumstances and the emergency lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,
I have become very broke and homeless and still in self-isolation in a guest house in Lagos where I am owing thousands of naira.
The guest house will be shutdown tomorrow, because of lack of business and I will be stranded in Lagos
The lockdown worsened my precarious situation by stopping my sources of incomes in the Nigerian film industry. Debtors who are owing me have become unreachable and not responding to my calls and messages.
All I need is N500, 000.
I am desperate and it is better to be a beggar than be an armed robber.
Please, I need the support of every kind hearted person who can contribute whatever amount you can give me to survive my present ordeal.

If Whites Can Make It, Blacks Can Make It Too From Mountain View To Silicon Valley
Instead of Blacks to be whining about being underemployed and underrepresented in Silicon Valley and waiting for the tech giants to bridge the wide diversity gap for them to catch up with the privileged White in leadership, Blacks should breakthrough Silicon Valley by developing their own tech startups.

Kemi "Lala" Akindoju .
The Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN, have replied actress Kemi Akindoju, who earlier today blasted the leadership of the association after they paid a visit to actress, Regina Daniels, and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko to congratulate them on their new born. Kemi's posts are below in case you missed it.
In a statement released this night, Monalisa Chinda Coker, the Director of Communications of the AGN, said ordinarily the organization would not dignify Lala's ''repugnant and uninformed comment'' but it is compelled to explain the reason the some members visited Regina and her husband.

ALPHA MAN LIVE!
Saturday afternoon on July 4, 2020. Alpha Man is calm, cool and confident against all odds of these challenging times with absolute faith to continue to be articulate and resolute. I have the assurance of my one and only Father and Almighty Father God JEHOVAH JIREH who is the Alpha and Omega, my Conqueror, Protector, Saviour and Victor in supremacy over all things in existence through our Lord, Redeemer, Saviour and MESSIAH JESUS Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. AMEN! So, I can shout HALLELUJAH! Because it is written in Psalm 107:2:
"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy."

The Major Cause of the Perennial Flooding in Lagos City
#LagosFlood@followlasg@MBuhari@ProfOsinbajo@jidesanwoolu@NTANewsNow@channelstv@CNNAfrica@BBCAfrica@realFemiOtedola@GuardianNigeria@CoolFMNigeria— 247 Nigeria (@247nigeria) June 30, 2020
Lagos State Government is the major cause of the perennial flooding of the streets and roads in Africa's largest megacity. pic.twitter.com/LI938kp04b
The perennial flooding caused by storm surge overflows cannot end until there are sustainable urban drainage systems. Government permitted the construction of many buildings on drainages or blocked off the canals and gutters. Majority of the LGAs don't have drainage systems. pic.twitter.com/0EFM9DuNqN— 247 Nigeria (@247nigeria) June 30, 2020
We have visited different LGAs and saw the causes of the perennial flooding. The state government caused 90 percent of the blocked drainages and lack of drainage systems in the LGAs.— 247 Nigeria (@247nigeria) June 30, 2020
