Under the administrations of the defeated and disgraced former national ruling party, People's Democratic Party (PDP); in 2011, voting was already underway in some states when the elections were postponed and in 2015, elections were postponed. In the U S, UK, EU countries, China and Japan, an indicted politician like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will be facing conviction and not contesting in the presidential election for the highest political office of a sovereign nation. But since we are in a country where political corruption is no longer a crime with corrupt former Heads of State are classified as sacred cows and "Untouchables", he can buy the presidential candidacy of the most corrupt political party in the history of Nigeria and become the leader of the main opposition party with millions of gullible followers applauding him in their herd mentality and political stupidity.
I have heard and read his unscrupulous followers saying, they don't care if he is corrupt as long as they will benefit from his ill gotten riches from corrupt practises.
This is Nigeria and not America.
