Is Golf Really Dying? Not If You Look At The 250,000 Millennials That Visit Golf's Brand New Site
NEW YORK, June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Golf has been choking on the fumes of old man breath for too long. Numerous reports over the past two years have cited the astonishing decline of young people taking up the game, but one website is quickly changing things.
CLICKON Golf is putting the young flame back into the sinking ship that is golf, and it is doing it with a very loud bang.
Launched in July 2014, CLICKON Golf is a video sharing community for anyone who is crazy about golf. With a state-of-the-art multiple uploader where users can create channels formed of Vine, YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook videos, the website has become the place for every great golf video to live – whether it is funny, helpful or brilliantly nonsensical.
Unlike many of the aging golf publications that have alienated young golfers through dull content – CLICKON Golf assures its audience that nothing will be off-limits.
One of the first videos to blow up on CLICKON Golf was when acclaimed golf coach Jonathan Yarwood teamed up with CLICKON Media's creative department. Fed up with the state of the industry, Mr. Yarwood told the cameras to roll before spitting a golf ball from his mouth and hitting it 150 yards on the volley.
It is this style of content that has attracted over 250,000 millennial golfers to the site each month to watch, share and upload videos that celebrate golf's more light-hearted side.
"CLICKON Golf is a combination of the best qualities of YouTube, BuzzFeed and Elite Daily, shaped into a single platform for golfers who are tired of reading boring articles," said Benjamin Potter, CLICKON Media's Co-Founder and Creative Director.
The team are notorious rule breakers. In fact, one of the core values at CLICKON is boldness – to never do anything that doesn't stand out from the crowd.
"We think differently. We push the boundaries. Following norms just isn't that fun," added Mr. Potter.
CLICKON Golf also answers the prayers of its impatient and unforgiving audience by outlawing pre-roll on videos and display advertising. So how does it generate revenue?
CLICKON Media's creative department – which was set up in March 2015 in NYC – works with advertises to create branded content that lives natively across the site. The department also creates content for clients across the globe, outside of the golf sphere.
"We strive to provide the best user experience at all times, so native ads are really the best way of creating revenue streams without upsetting the audience," explained Richard Wilson, Co-Founder and CEO of CLICKON Media.
The future looks bright for CLICKON Golf – and hopefully for the game too. May the force be with you, millennials.

President Muhammadu Buhari Must Restore The Nigerian Dream Of Our Youths
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The majority of those who voted for Muhammadu Buhari in the March 28 presidential election were youths from all the regions of Nigeria, because they wanted change in the national administration of Nigeria since they were disappointed by the failures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that misappropriated the billions of dollars from the oil boom the nation had for more than ten years under the former ruling party and left millions of Nigerian youths jobless when the oil boom should have provided jobs for them.

Apple Announces News App for iPhone & iPad
Delivers News in a Beautiful & Uncluttered Format
SAN FRANCISCO — June 8, 2015 — Apple® today unveiled an all-new
News app delivering the best news reading experience on any mobile
device. Available with iOS 9 this fall for iPhone® and iPad®, News
combines the visually rich layout of a magazine with the immediacy and
customization of digital media. News follows over a million topics and
pulls relevant stories based on your specific interests that can be
easily shared or saved for later — without compromising your privacy.
News is powered by the new custom-designed Apple News Format™, a digital
publishing format that allows publishers to create beautiful layouts.
“News seamlessly delivers the articles you want to read in a
beautiful and uncluttered format, while respecting your privacy,
because Apple doesn’t share your personal data,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s
senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We already
have nearly 20 publishers representing more than 50 titles joining us,
including Condé Nast, ESPN, The New York Times, Hearst, Time Inc., CNN
and Bloomberg.”
News conveniently collects all the stories you want to read in
one place, in a customized newsfeed called For You. Readers can see the
publisher channels and topics they’re following in Favorites, and to
discover new content, Explore makes great suggestions based on what
you’ve already read. The more you read, the more personalized the News
app becomes, refining the selection of stories delivered to your iPhone
or iPad.
Apple News Format allows publishers to create stories that look
beautiful and take advantage of the full power of iOS. Content can
include photos and galleries, audio, video, maps and rich interactions
such as parallax and animation. When publishers create their stories for
News, content comes alive with custom fonts and intuitive Multi-Touch™
gestures. Apple News Format automatically customizes the layout for each
screen size, so News content looks great on both iPhone and iPad.
“Condé Nast’s premium content deserves a premium mobile
experience and the News app delivers that,” said Bob Sauerberg,
President of Condé Nast. “News offers an environment that combines the
rich, immersive design of our photography, artwork and editorial
expertise with the interactivity and dynamism of digital media — it’s
stunning.”
“ESPN fans are incredibly engaged in the way they consume our content,
so the more vibrant experience we can offer, the happier they’ll be,”
said John Skipper, President of ESPN Inc. and Co-Chairman of Disney
Media Networks. “We’ve seen incredible success with our ESPN apps on
iOS, and News is only going to make a richer, more personal experience
for our readers so they can stay up-to-date on the sports news that
matters to them.”

Tax Scam Costs Africa $15 Billion Each Year
Tax Scam Costs Africa $15 Billion Each Year
Which Could Save Hundreds Of Thousands of Lives
African countries are being robbed of $15 billion a year because of a tax revenue scam, according to a new report by Save the Children.
Saturday, 6 June 2015 - 5:18pm
Research by the charity into ‘trade misinvoicing’, where companies purposely lie about the worth of their goods, claims the tax shortfall could pay for 1.8 million more health workers across the continent – saving hundreds of thousands of children’s lives every year.
The report, Making a Killing, is published as African leaders attend the G7 summit in Germany today where poverty and climate change are on the agenda.
Save the Children has looked at evidence into trade misinvoicing, which costs sub Saharan African $59 billion each year and has calculated that as a result countries are losing out on $15 billion tax a year.

The Best International Film Festivals in Nigeria
The Best International Film Festivals in Nigeria
Nigeria is famous for developing the phenomenal Nollywood, the largest film industry in Africa and producing more home videos than Hollywood and second only to Bollywood in the world. But there are currently only five credible international film festivals in Nigeria and none of them has a film market. They may not be in competition with Cairo, Durban and other notable international film festivals in Africa, but they are showing great prospects of becoming the best organized in the continent.
