2019 Presidebtial Election and the Rule #1 of 48 Laws of Power
Many people in the world make the terrible mistake of violating the Rule #1 of the 48 Laws of Power and the worst place to make this mistake is in the corridors of power; from Alausa to Abuja.
2019 is going to be a very interesting year for the political leadership of Nigeria. There will be two new presidential nominees from the APC and PDP. One of them will have an Igbo Vice Presidential candidate.
In 1990, I was still in my 20s, but employed as a PA to Hon. Babatunde Ereola, the Director of Publicity for Alhaji Bamanga Tukur's Presidential Campaign with High Chief Raymond Dokpesi as the Director of Security. I saw the handwriting on the Wall and left. What followed next was the cancellation of the presidential primaries to stop the leading presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the retired Major-General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua (March 5, 1943 – December 8, 1997) from wining the presidential election.
I knew that the presidential elections would be aborted.
Majority of Nigerians don't know that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was one of founders of the party that later produced the leadership of the SDP that contested against the National Republican Convention (NRC) in the ill-fated presidential election of 1993.
Shehu Musa Yar'Adua and his group formed the People's Front of Nigeria. Members included Babagana Kingibe, Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu,Magaji Abdullahi, Ango Abdullahi, Ahmadu Rufa'i, Yahaya Kwande, Abdullahi Aliyu Sumaila, Wada Abubakar, Babalola Borishade, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,M.S.Buhari and Farouk Abdulazeez.

Conversation on urban inequality, sustainability and a true vision for the Lagos Megacity!
The workshop “Co-creating an inclusive Lagos” is organised by the Heinrich Böll Foundation Nigeria as part of its “Climate resilient and inclusive Megacity Lagos” program (ng.boell.org) in cooperation with Prof. Taibat Lawanson from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Dr. Ademola Omoegun from the Department of Architecture, University of Lagos.
Lagos is a city of dreams for many. Nigerians returning from the Diaspora dream of a prospering city; the Lagosian middle class dreams of economic opportunities and a befitting lifestyle; the poor dream of security of tenure, regular income and a sense of place in the city. Whilst the poor make about 70% of the city’s population, the development patterns in the city increasingly shatter their dreams for the benefit of the remaining 30%. Meanwhile, a modern city is a centre of opportunities for all – rich and poor – to reach their highest potentials, that is governed in an inclusive, collaborative and sustainable manner. How does Lagos fare in this regard?
The workshop targets movers and shakers among Lagos citizens who are interested in socio-economic issues and usually do not have the opportunity to exchange their ideas directly with representatives of the informal sector. Local and international resource persons will demonstrate creative and innovative strategies of inclusive development initiated and implemented by the poor. There will also be a study tour to some sites in the city to understand how affected people cope with the Co-Creating effects of government interventions for replacing informality with formal structures. Finally, working groups will deliberate on strategies for facilitating a fair and inclusive urban development for Lagos and other cities in Nigeria.

Alhaji Maitama Sule's Advice To President Muhammadu Buhari
President-Elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari met with Alhaji Maitama Sule in Abuja on Sunday, May 10, 2015
”Sir, it is easy; I know it was easy when you were a military leader and what made it easy was justice.
”With justice, you can rule Nigeria well. Justice is the key; irrespective of tribe, religion and race, justice must be done to whosoever deserves it. ”Power can remain in the hands of an infidel if he is just and fair but it will not remain in the hands of a believer if he is unfair and unjust,” he said. Sule also said injustice was the fundamental cause of crisis all over the world and that the only solution to avert crisis was justice.

The African Mother Who Was killing Her Children
Mother Who Was killing Her Children
I once visited a family without realising that the woman of the house was a high-ranking witch. She and her husband had reached an agreement in the spirit realm that, out of every two children born to them, one must die. As at the time of my visit, they had a little daughter marked to die on the very day. Of course, I didn’t know this as I only visited to greet the family. As I was about to leave, the child, strapped on her mother’s back, stretched out to me with great longing, perhaps in premonition of her impending doom. I had no option than to hold her. We were to learn later that this child never, ever allowed anyone else, to carry her. So I carried her and prayed for her, oblivious of the prevailing circumstances. “Father bless this child, keep sickness away from her, keep death away from her.” And the yoke was broken! Shortly after that incident, the mother began to confess. “I killed three of my children, but the day I was to kill this one, this troublesome pastor came by and took the child from me.”
