No Private University In Nigeria Is Good Enough For The Best In Africa

University of Lagos is the highest ranked Nigerian university.

As I have noted earlier that the so called private universities in Nigeria are just ripping off ignorant parents in Nigeria, because most of their lecturers are not qualified to even teach in high schools in the US. And we don't have enough qualified teachers and lecturers for the public schools, therefore the private schools cannot find enough qualified tutors and only few of them can even afford to pay regular salaries.

No Nigerian private university made the list of the 2012 Top Universities in Africa. Only the following government universities made the list.

University of Lagos
University of Ilorin
University of Ibadan
University of Benin
University of Port Harcourt
University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
Ahmadu Bello University
University of Jos

Most of the private universities in Nigeria are not better than high schools in the US.

The faculty is what determines the quality of a university and not the fine buildings like at Lead.

Farewell President John Evans Fifii Atta Mills of Ghana

John Evans Fifii Atta Mills (21 July 1944 – 24 July 2012)

Nigerians Report and Nigerian Times join the people of Ghana and the rest of Africa to mourn the passing of John Evans Fifii Atta Mills, the third President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana who died of cardiac arrest on 24 July 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, Ghana.

The courageous Atta Mills worked hard to win the tough 2008 presidential elections and his mentor, the former President of Ghana, the great Jerry Rawlings really did his best on the challenging presidential campaign to use his legendary popularity among the majority of Ghanaians to secure the victory of their National Democratic Congress.

Mills would have been a great President of Ghana if he lived longer.

May his soul rest in peace.

AskMen and TresSugar examine Dating, Sex, Technology and Lifestyle in the Great Male/Female Survey 2012
U.S. Men And Women Would Elect George Clooney As President

LOS ANGELES, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AskMen, the leading men's lifestyle website, has announced the results of the world's largest survey of men, the Great Male Survey, now in its sixth edition. AskMen has partnered with TresSugar, the sex and culture website of POPSUGAR, for the Great Female Survey, which, with more than 50,000 respondents overall, reveals noteworthy new statistics about the way men and women think about dating, sex, technology, politics and lifestyle.

This year's political, economical and technological climates have changed the way men and women interact with one another. If there's a theme to these results, it's that men are committing to family more than ever before and that women are increasingly committed to their professional lives. Here's a taste of the eye-opening data collected from the 2012 Great Male/Female Surveys:

Political Gets Personal
When asked which celebrity they would vote for as President of the United States of America, respondents (35% of men and 46% of women) agreed that George Clooney was the best fit for the job.

Men voted Jay-Z in second place (20%), leaving Tom Brady (12%), Louis C.K. (10%) and Dr.Oz (9%) out of the race. Women, however, voted Tom Brady (27%) in for second place. 62% of female respondents believe they will witness a female president in their lifetime.

Every man needs a good wingman, and who better than one of the two presidential nominees? 79% of men picked Barack Obama over Mitt Romney as wingman material, and 70% of women chose Michelle Obama over potential First Lady Ann Romney as their brunch pal. Talk about a power couple!

The Better Man Meets The Powerful Woman
57% of men stated that nothing is more important to them than being a great father and husband who takes care of his family. 49% of women found that being a "real woman" has to do with being attractive, being a great lover and having financial independence.

Men in 2012 aren't just after 20-somethings. Forty-year-old Sofia Vergara was voted AskMen's Most Desirable Woman in the 2012 edition of the Top 99. And this year's Great Male Survey results revealed that 39% of men believe that women lose their looks sometime after the age of 40. A whopping 22% of women say men never lose their looks.

When Dating Gets Tech-tual
AskMen can finally confirm that 53% of women and 37% of men have used technology to send sexy photos of themselves to a partner. 83% of men say they would never share the photos, while 31% of women say they would let friends peek!

It seems as though men and women's online personas are becoming as important as their real-life ones. When it comes to "pre-stalking" a potential partner online, 78% of men say they use the internet to gain information on prospective partners, while 31% of women say they don't "pre-stalk" at all. Looks like those Facebook posts could get you dumped before the first date!

Inside The Male and Female Brain
62% of men believe in the existence of aliens. With the popularity of vampire movies and TV shows in the last few years, it comes as a surprise that 0% of women believe in the potential existence of vampires.

Ever thought men would pick education over sex? When it comes to future hologram use, 30% of men are anticipating the educational benefits of the technology, rather than potential holographic pornography (14%).

29% of men said that if they could, they would punch their boss in the face. What comes as a surprise is that 49% would much rather punch their colleagues in the face.

When asked which body part men think women appreciate the most in them, 40% of men chose abs, but according to the survey, men's arms (27%) are most appreciated by women.

Grooming and Fashion
Europe is the most fashionable continent, according to both men and women. Italian men rank up there as the most stylish (50%), while women believe France has the most fashionable women (38%).

When it comes to expressing their personality through fashion, 30% men say they wear colorful socks to stand out.

When it comes to lavish spending, men are willing to splurge on cologne (59%) over any other grooming product.

While it might be expected that women dress to impress men, 35% of female respondents say they actually dress to impress other women. But the large majority of men surveyed dress to impress women (77%).

James Bassil, the editor-in-chief of AskMen, says, "The results of this year's Great Male Survey illustrate how men are striving in every aspect of their lives to become 'better men.' Whether it's becoming a better father, lover, colleague or member of their community, men are adapting to the changing climate and turning more and more to family to seek happiness and fulfillment. However, we're happy to hear aliens are still keeping men up at night! Additionally, we are happy to have teamed up with TresSugar to create a survey that will enhance men's understanding of the female mind."

"We're thrilled to offer the women's perspective for this insightful survey," says Annie Scudder, Editor of TresSugar. "A modern woman balances her career, personal life and values technology to stay connected with friends and family. We're also waiting for the day George Clooney gets elected President!"

Nigerian Girls, Nigerian Guys Need More Than Your Body

Nigerian Girls, Nigerian Guys Need More Than Your Body

The most common mistake Nigerian Girls make with Nigerian Guys is they think every Nigerian Guy is the same and this mistake is doing them more harm than good. They think majority of Nigerian guys want the same thing in women, a regular sex partner. So, they have been hawking themselves to Nigerian guys as sex objects and naturally in the social marketing of romance, it is what you are offering your target audience is what they will bargain for. Nigerian girls are hawking themselves as sex objects to Nigerian guys and that has made Nigerian guys to see them first as sex objects and treat them as sex objects and end up even marrying them as sex objects. Because what Nigerian girls have advertised and sold to the guys is nothing more than their sexuality.

On the street, on the internet, on the pages of print, on radio and on TV, Nigerian girls are hawking themselves as sex objects so shamelessly.
That you wonder if they have brains at all or their brains are just wired for nothing more than sex.
C'mon! Don't you have anything more to offer Nigerian guys than your vagina?

Majority of Nigerian girls have become so sexually abused and misused that Nigerian guys are now bored and tired of them and are no longer excited in getting married to anyone of them.
“Just simply fork them and get them pregnant, because that all they are meant for,” said a Nigerian guy.

Nigeria is now full of girlfriends and wives who are more of liabilities than anything else to Nigerian men. Even the exceptional ones among these hordes of part-time and full time prostituting girlfriends and wives are sick of them, because their notorious deeds have become so widespread that Nigerian men now think to find a decent Nigerian girl or woman is looking for a needle in a haystack.
Yes, it is really that bad. These Nigerian girls have gone to the dogs.

From their rampant promiscuity on and off campus one wonders if majority of them have only gone to the university to boost the marketability of their sexuality, because they still prefer to use their loins more than their brains in the rat race.

It is really expedient to be very blunt in addressing this social malaise of wanton licentiousness that has become endemic among the majority of the impressionable and vulnerable young women in Nigeria, because it is already a dangerous social plague that is destroying the security and welfare of the Nigerian family and society at large.
These girls are the future mothers of our children! So, what kind of parenting will they give our innocent children when they are so morally corrupt and shameless too?

“It is one of the grave consequences of the corruption that is endemic in the Nigerian system, because it spreads like a contagious disease from the top to the bottom and the only immunity against it is total separation from the system,” said a friend as we discussed the promiscuous lifestyle of young women in Nigeria.

This social problem is the burden of everyone who really cares about the morality and security of your family and society, because none of us can escape from the repercussions. And discussing it is pertinent to dealing with it without apologies or regrets in being acerbic and sarcastic. I have always believed more in calling a spade and spade than call it a spoon.

This problem is not meant to start any slanging-match between the sexes, because heaven knows I am not a sexist, but more concerned about the dignity, integrity and nobility of womanhood, not necessarily to make any promiscuous young woman feel more guilty, but to realize that there is more to her femininity than her sexuality which is being abused and misused by her own sexploitation.

93% Say Vehicle Life Should Be 8 years

More practical consumers are getting used to older vehicles -- but are more scrupulous about service, with independent repair shops trumping dealership service centers for aging vehicles

AutoMD.com Survey: 93% say vehicle life should be 8 years (or until it dies). (PRNewsFoto/AutoMD.com)

CARSON, Calif., July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Reports of the death of the two to three year vehicle purchasing cycle have not been exaggerated according to a new survey of nearly 4,000 car owners by AutoMD.com*. Three in four respondents agreed that buying a vehicle every two to three years is a thing of the past, and 78% now say that 10+ years (or until it dies) is the appropriate vehicle lifespan. Most telling is that over half say that a better economy would not change their habit of holding onto their vehicle for longer.

Google+ is now allowing the creating of business pages. Previously Google+ was only open to individuals. Now you can create a business page for your brand on Google+. Since Google basically owns search and all their other properties like YouTube, Blogger.com and Google Places get priority in search it would not be a bad idea to have a Google+ business page in addition to your personal profile.

However, to start with Google+ you first need to create a personal profile. It is from within the personal profile that the business page is created. Here is an article telling you how to get started with Google+.
