Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, Nigeria's former Petroleum Minister.
Jide Omokore Questioned, Not Arrested

Mr. Jide Omokore, the billionaire oil tycoon and a major player in the oil and gas sector during the Goodluck Jonathan administration has not been arrested over corruption and money laundering charges by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as first reported by Reuters and subsequently cited by this news website.
Reuters quoted an official at the EFCC as the source of its original report.

However, according to THEWILL Mr. Omokore was at the EFCC office in Abuja on Monday where he was questioned and allowed to go home after his Lagos home and office were raided by EFCC officials over the weekend.
THEWILL spoke to Mr. Omokore on the phone on Tuesday afternoon Nigerian time (2.31pm) and he said he was in his Abuja residence.
Calls to EFCC spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwajaren did not go through.

Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has denied arresting one of the oil players in the country, identified as a close business associate of the former oil minister and Atlantic Energy Chairman, Olajide Omokore. However, Vanguard learned that the commission interrogated Omokore and released him on administrative bail.
