There many people enjoying the dividends of President Goodluck Jonathan's administration.
The "goodluckiest" beneficiaries are in Nollywood.
The $200m Entertainment Fund accessed through the Bank of Industry (BoI) and Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) has co-produced the most expensive film in Nigeria so far "Half of A Yellow Sun", and also "Doctor Bello" and more movie theaters by Film House Cinemas. And also setting up the biggest and largest movie distribution infrastructure for Nollywood costing over N1.6 billion to set 10, 000 sales outlets for Nollywood movies that will create over 100, 000 jobs.
The President Goodluck Jonathan has assigned administrators led by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minster for Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the Minister of Tourism, Edem Duke to liaise with the heads of the various guilds in the industry on how best to utilize the N3 billion grant to boost the Nigerian movie industry.
