BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, December 12, 2017/ -- Nigeria has signed a joint declaration on Economic Cooperation with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) (www.EFTA.int) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the sidelines of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) 11th Ministerial Conference.

It also represented Africa at the Ministerial Conference through its position as Vice-Chair of the conference.
Africa will be represented in the International Surrealism Now art Exhibition 2017/2018 which will open in Portugal on December 23
Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria are the African countries to be present in the next edition of Surrealism Now, the largest World Surrealism exhibition of the 21st century which gathers art work from more than 48 countries

UN Agency To Fly 15,000 Migrants Home from Libya in Wake of Reported Abuses

NEW YORK, 01 December 2017 / PRN Africa / -- The United Nations migration agency plans to fly 15,000 more migrants home from detention centres in Libya before year-end in the wake of shocking reports of rampant migrant abuse and squalid and overcrowded conditions at these facilities across the North African country.
“Scaling up our return programme may not serve to fully address the plight of migrants in Libya, but it is our duty to take migrants out of detention centers as a matter of absolute priority,” said William Lacy Swing, Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at its Council meeting in Geneva on Thursday.
