Banksy on Advertising: People Are Taking the Piss Out of You Everyday

People are taking the piss out of you everyday. They butt into your life, take a cheap shot at you and then disappear. They leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small. They make flippant comments from buses that imply you’re not sexy enough and that all the fun is happening somewhere else. They are on TV making your girlfriend feel inadequate. They have access to the most sophisticated technology the world has ever seen and they bully you with it. They are The Advertisers and they are laughing at you.
You, however, are forbidden to touch them. Trademarks, intellectual property rights and copyright law mean advertisers can say what they like wherever they like with total impunity.

Fuck that. Any advert in a public space that gives you no choice whether you see it or not is yours. It’s yours to take, re-arrange and re-use. You can do whatever you like with it. Asking for permission is like asking to keep a rock someone just threw at your head.
You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don’t owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs.

1 John 4

New King James Version (NKJV)
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that[a] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Knowing God Through Love

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Seeing God Through Love

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

The Consummation of Love

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him[b] because He first loved us.

Obedience by Faith

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can[c] he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

TALK OF THE TOWN is proud of all the Nigerian heroes and heroines of the London 2012 Summer Paralympics.

The team broke four world records through Yakubu Adesokan, Esther Oyema, Joy Onaolapo and Folashade Oluwafemiayo, although she won silver in the women's -75kg category as her world record came in a fourth lift and thus was out of competition.
Grace Anozie won gold in the women's +82.5kg and said: 'I'm expecting the President of Nigeria to welcome us all the way from the airport.
'The whole team has been through stress and hell. They asked us to deliver and we have.'

Nigeria coach Mike Ajiboye added: 'Our team are determined and focussed and, when they want to do something, they do it with their minds.
'That is why we have been able to get so much from the Powerlifting at these Games. It is all down to determination and focus.'
It is all down to determination and focus.'

Suicide Rate On The Rise Since The Election Of President Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria says he is the most criticized president in the world.

More Nigerians have been committing suicide since President Goodluck Jonathan was elected and the Leadership newspapers published a report with a long list of the victims of suicide since May 2011 to date.

Over 33.5million Nigerians are unemployed according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

A Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Ebonyi State University, Mr. Ronald Oginyi observed that suicide was on the rise in Nigeria.

He said: "In contemporary times, things that we are not used to in Nigeria are beginning to happen and even at a very fast rate.

Today there is preponderance of suicide in the country, as against what used to be in the past. In the past, suicide was very rare but today it is almost a daily occurrence.

"The factors responsible for this are many. In Nigeria today, research studies suggest that there is high incidence of joblessness, hopelessness, bleak future and loss of meaning individuals attach to themselves. When an individual feels that he has lost meaning, that he cannot achieve anything, that he has failed woefully, then the individual begins to see a situation whereby it is better for him to take his own life.

"So, wide scale unemployment and poverty are fuelling suicide in the country, as individuals continue to lack the means of keeping themselves afloat.

The university don continued: "Secondly, some religions propagate the concept of martyr in the cause of the faiths. They say if you die for the faith, you will go to heaven. Individuals who acquire such norm, such belief, such tenets by way of religious inclination might try to actualise what they have been taught. In previous years or decades ago, suicide bombing was an anathema in Nigeria but today it is rampant and used as a weapon of war."

http://allafrica.com/stories/201209080445.html

Thousands of Nigerians have been killed in ethnic-religious conflicts in the Middle Belt and northern states under the siege of the dreaded Boko Haram Islamic terrorists and marauding Hausa Fulani herdsmen trespassing farmlands of their host communities, armed robbers, kidnappers and militants on the prowl in the southwestern and southeastern-south southern states with collapsing manufacturing industries leaving millions of Nigerians jobless.

Why Nigerian Guys Now Bluff And Disrespect Nigerian Girlfriends

One of the desperate Nigerian girls on the prowl for whom to devour. Photo Credit: Everywhere Nigeria.

It is no cheering news that having a Nigerian girlfriend or even Nigerian wife is no longer something to be proud of these days, except you simply close your eyes and do so for love. Because, Nigerian girls and women have so debased themselves in their desperation for fame and fortune that they have lost their respect.
Nigerian guys now generalize Nigerian girls and women as cheap whores.

The shameless acts of Nigerian girls and women are all over the internet and it can be really disheartening to see what they do to insult womanhood and motherhood.

Nigerian girls are the ones dancing half naked for fully clothed Nigerian guys in music videos.
Nigerian girls are the ones caught and stripped naked for stealing phones and even stealing underwear!
Nigerian girls and women are the ones sending their nude photographs to boys and men showing their private parts like goods being displayed for sale.
Nigerian girls are not ashamed to strip themselves naked while fighting over Nigerian guys.
Nigerian girls are not ashamed to go out without underwear.

You see a Nigerian girl using an expensive smart phone of about N80, 000, but her poor mother goes about in torn and worn wrapper selling fruits by the roadside to make ends meet for her poor family that often go to bed still hungry.
N80, 000 is enough to buy bags of rice and beans to feed their starving family for months.
But the shameless "big girl" would rather die than give up her expensive phone, because she needs it to impress her peers and again for her call girl business, pinging her customers and pimps all over Nigeria.

The X-Rated photos of What Desperate Nigerian Girls Do for Fame and Fortune cannot be posted here, but can be seen on http://kissesandroses.blogspot.com/2012/09/what-desperate-nigerian-girls-do-for.html for ADULTS ONLY.

The shameless Nigerian girls did not even cover their faces!

Lest we forget these shameless Nigerian girls are the future wives and mothers of the children of the Nigerian men who would end up with them as their husbands and fathers of their innocent children.

Imagine being married to one of the girls in the rogue gallery of shameless Nigerian girls in the nude.
How would the husband walk tall with her at public functions and special occasions when copies of her sex tape or nude pictures are all over the internet?

Why should any reasonable girl allow any boyfriend or man-friend to take nude pictures of her that he would later post on the internet or share among his buddies like a buddy showed me the nude pictures of a pretty and sexy Nigerian girl he had just slept with and she actually posed with her legs spread wide apart for his camera phone!
Then she later returned to her "real" boyfriend.
And tomorrow she would be the Mrs of one man?

They would have fared better going nude for Playboy magazine or in porn movies than to be disgraced for their despicable acts of ignominy.

May God help us all.

Scarcity of Petrol May Hit Lagos

There is Not Enough Petrol for Lagosians

The Punch on Friday September 7, 2012, reported that many tankers which had gone to load petrol from the depots were told that there was not enough petrol to go round.
So, they could not supply enough to the filling stations for millions of consumers.
The supply had dropped by about 50%.

Who Will Reject A Gift of 1000 N5000 Notes From Mallam Sanusi?

Who among the hordes of Nigerians protesting against the introduction of the N5, 000 note will reject a gift of 1000 N5000 banknotes from Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria ?

As I have said and repeated that ignorance has done more harm to Nigerians than corruption.
What causes inflation or corruption is not the denomination of any currency, but greed. And majority of Nigerians are greedy. That is why Nigeria is a corrupt country.

Foolish Nigerian Parents Push their Sons and Daughters into Crime and Prostitution

The bestselling Blackberry Babes Nollywood home video exposed the escapades of these desperate poor girls in the fast lane in Nigeria.

I have seen how poor Nigerian parents living in the ghettos in Lagos struggle to make ends meet while providing for their sons and daughters in tertiary schools.
They harass well to do citizens to help them financially and most of them cannot even afford three square meals a day. But their sons and daughters have expensive N28, 000 - N180, 000 Blackberry (BB) and iPhone smart phones for which each one would spend an average of N3, 000 monthly for making phone calls and sending text messages.

I know a poor female student at the leading university in Lagos who is from a poor family, but she is using expensive BB and her parents are struggling to pay her school fees. But they still allow her to keep her over N68, 000 BB and they know that she spends over N100, 000 annually on calls and text messages! They accepted all the lies she told them how she got the BB and how she would be paying for the service. Of course her mates and neighbours she is foolishly competing with know that she is one of the "runs" babes on campus who are part time prostitutes on and off campus. She is one of those female students who shuttle from one city to another claiming to be doing business and don't tell their parents the truth about their escapades in living life in the fast lane of the dog eat dog rat race.
"My daughter was a big girl. She was a good girl," her father would defend her.
But he never knew her boyfriends and sugar daddies who paid for her airfares and hotel accommodations until she fell into the wrong hands of killer boyfriends?
Stupid father.

See Pictures: List of Nigerian Girls Assaultéd For Stealing Blackberry phones.

The boys from poor families also engage in illegal business such as pimping, stealing and scams to get quick money to buy their own BBs and other luxury gadgets like the big boys from rich families. But these boys still depend on their poor parents for school fees and pocket money. Their parents see them with luxury items they cannot afford and still allow them to keep them until they are caught and disgraced or end up as armed robbers, kidnappers and terrorists.
These foolish parents push their sons and daughters into crime and prostitution.

Voting has now closed for the World Routes Marketing Awards 2012, which this year are sponsored by OAG. The World Routes Awards have grown and developed over the last 15 years and are unique within the industry because they are voted for exclusively by the airline network planning community. The awards recognise the excellence in air service development by airports and over the last few months airlines have been voting for the airports who they feel have made the most efficient use of their marketing over the last 12 months.

Shortlisted airports have now been contacted and asked for a submission to support their nomination. This submission process is designed to enable the shortlisted airports to provide information for the judging panel as to why they think they should win the award, providing evidence to support their case. There are five main Airport Award categories split by region and airport size. "The prestige of the Routes Marketing Awards comes from the fact that they are nominated for purely by the airports' direct customers, the airline network planning community," says Nigel Mayes, VP & Commercial for Routes. God Made Tim Berners-Lee and Tim Berners-Lee Made the WWW

The inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee, OM, KBE, FRS, FREng, FRSA (born 8 June 1955)

God made Tim Berners-Lee and Tim Berners-Lee made the World Wide Web, so without God, Tim Berners-Lee would not have made the web and you and I will not be on it now!

Sir Tim is now totally overwhelmed by his invention as FORBES reports on Father Of The Web Ranks Its Impact On The World.

Lest we forget, the Father of the World Wide Web is different from the Fathers of the Internet, American computer scientists Vinton Gray and Bob Kahn.

The world wide web is a part of the Internet, the Internet is not a part of the world wide web.

When you are using the world wide web you are always using the Internet. When you are using the Internet you may not be using the world wide web.

~ Jag.

The Difference Between the Internet and World Wide Web

Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web (aka. the Web) interchangeably, but in fact the two terms are not synonymous. The Internet and the Web are two separate but related things.
What is The Internet?

The Internet is a massive network of networks, a networking infrastructure. It connects millions of computers together globally, forming a network in which any computer can communicate with any other computer as long as they are both connected to the Internet. Information that travels over the Internet does so via a variety of languages known as protocols.
What is The Web (World Wide Web)?

The World Wide Web, or simply Web, is a way of accessing information over the medium of the Internet. It is an information-sharing model that is built on top of the Internet. The Web uses the HTTP protocol, only one of the languages spoken over the Internet, to transmit data. Web services, which use HTTP to allow applications to communicate in order to exchange business logic, use the the Web to share information. The Web also utilizes browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, to access Web documents called Web pages that are linked to each other via hyperlinks. Web documents also contain graphics, sounds, text and video.
