Nobody is Fighting for the Masses Since Fela and Gani Passed Away

Nobody is fighting for the welfare of Nigerian masses since their human rights champions and heroes, Fela Kuti (15 October 1938 – 2 August 1997) , the legendary King of Afrobeat music and Gani Fawehinmi (22 April 1938 – 5 September 2009), Senior Advocate of the Masses passed away.
Gani Fawehinmi, human rights lawyer and political activist.
Nigerian masses at a political rally.

Their survivors and successors have failed to speak out against the violations of the rights of the suffering poor masses who live at the mercy of the greedy and wicked oppressors in the corridors of power from Lagos to Abuja and from the Niger Delta to Lake Chad.

The predators in political power use the poor masses as their expendable pawns. They share the national cake and leave the leftovers for the poor masses to scramble for the crumbs.
In fact, they spend more money every month to feed their security dogs than the starvation wages they pay the poor masses as salaries.
They deliberately oppress and underpay the poor masses so that they will be deprived of basic provisions and suffer terrible indignities in horrible living conditions of their slums.
More than 10 million underprivileged children of the poor masses are out school of which more than 6 million of them are girls who are often used as housemaids by the middle class and upper class families of the ruling class who control the political parties.
Without good education, the children of the poor masses become servants of the ruling class employed as house servants, drivers, gardeners, messengers, sex slaves and guards in the mansions and palaces of the ruling class.

Nobody cries out against the injustices in the country. Even the clerics of the Christian churches and Islamic mosques celebrate the millionaires and billionaires of the ruling class who give them millions of naira as offerings and tithes to pray and pacify the poor masses to keep on hoping, praying and waiting for a better tomorrow.
They lie to the poor masses to keep on blaming Satan and demons for their poverty and wait for the miracles of the divine interventions of Almighty God to deliver them.

The so called human rights activists in the country have become dumb, because they have compromised their cardinal principles; kissing the butts of their rich benefactors and licking their fingers dripping with milk and honey supplied by dons of the  ruling class who have stuffed their mouths with large sums of money to shut them up.
"Bros, if you can't beat them, join them o," they said. So, they have joined them in sharing the loot of their ill-gotten riches.

If only the fearless Fela and daring Gani were still here, echoes of protest songs against injustice and oppression would be heard aloud on the street and public protests against the deprivations of the poor masses would be going on in Lagos city. But they have left without seeing the promise land of their Nigerian Dream.
The poor masses are broken and forsaken, waiting for  the emergence of another Fela and Gani as they also wait on the Lord God for a political Messiah or the return of the heavenly Messiah Jesus Christ to put an end to the  evil reign of the greedy and wicked oppressors in Nigeria.
Let us pray.
