Shell Oil Defends Nigeria Operations To Dutch Lawmakers


$100 million fine for a 40-year-ol­d oil spill is even like a plea bargain fee. Because, the damages caused to the ecosystem cannot be estimated in monetary terms. Shell cannot just walk away without facing the consequenc­es and paying the penalties for the collateral damages of Shell's oil spillages in Ejama-Ebub­u and other communitie­s in the Niger Delta.
