4 Most Shocking Facts on Dirty Habits in Nigeria
Market women and their children prepare a meal at their slum settlement in Lagos, Nigeria June 10, 2006. The world's growing number of poor slum dwellers is a ticking time bomb that governments dare not ignore, the United Nations said on Friday. (George Esiri/Reuters)
4 Most Shocking Facts on Dirty Habits in Nigeria
1. 33 million Nigerians defecate in the open depositing 1.7 million tonnes of
fæces in the environment annually.
2. 20% of Nigerians expect to be consoled for farting or belching without apologies.
3. 90% of Nigerian food vendors and cooks handle food immediately after blowing their noses.
4. 90% of Nigerians don’t wash their hands after urinating by the roadside.
People defecating in the open in Nigeria
The unhygienic ways of life in Nigeria have made life expectancy to drop below 48 years and may continue to drop until majority of Nigerians stop their unhygienic lifestyles. And the government should sack the stupid Minister of Health who said, “Dying is global. Perhaps is the turn of Nigerians to be dying young. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes.”
The minister is just another Nigerian dumb-ass who is worsening the incompetence of public service in Nigeria.

Wanted: More Ambitious Women For Nigerian Men
Mrs. Peju Adebajo, the young Managing Director/CEO of Mouka Limited
Wanted: More Ambitious Women for Nigerian Men
Until you break out of the shell, you can never excel to rule your world.
You wonder why many women and men are still single and searching in Nigeria?
We do not have enough ambitious women.
Most of our women have little or nothing to offer the men.
We need ambitious women who can make a great difference in our lives.
Nigerian women like Mrs. Peju Adebajo, the young Managing Director/CEO of Mouka Limited, whose dignity, integrity, nobility and humility make her the pride of her husband and family and a blessing to Nigeria.
We need more women like her in Nigeria.
Women who can make us proud, and not liabilities.
Highly recommended is The daughter also rises on http://www.economist.com/node/21526872?fsrc=nlw|mgt|08-31-11|management_thinking.
Note that what made ZHANG YIN a billionaire was from her realization that the waste paper her superiors so casually discarded was actually worth something.
Nigerian women have their own dreams, but majority of them have allowed the dictatorial and sexist Nigerian men to either compel or talk them into discarding their dreams and become cowardly submissive to the men. And what have the men done for the women?
Playing tin-gods to them.
A typical Nigerian husband thinks buying a posh car for his wife and living in a luxury apartment or duplex is a GREAT ACHIEVEMENT that would be all for life.
How much is the total cost of a posh car and a mansion in Nigeria?
Patapata, N200, 000, 000 (two hundred million naira) only.
So, that is all you and your dreams are worth?
Less than USD$2 million?
Is that all and why God made you for on earth?
That is the best and greatest ambition of majority of Nigerian men and selfish pursuit for such social status symbols have left Nigerian men and women mere consumers of perishable luxuries, without producing the tools we need to develop a productive nation.
Nigeria is a poor nation of redundant women at the mercy of shortsighted Nigerian men who have failed to excel in nation building.
Nigerian women must break out the shell of their bondage and challenge the men from the bedroom to the boardroom and achieve more even where the men have failed woefully, in leadership.
There is no romance without finance.
So, be more ambitious to make a great difference and see how much your success will make you more independent and more productive.
The ambition of Nigerian women must go beyond their bottom power and rise to higher grounds of human achievement in nation building.
Men respect independent women and often insult those who are not.
So, do you want men to respect you or disrespect you for life?

ZHANG YIN (also known by her Cantonese name, Cheung Yan) was the eldest of eight children of a lowly Red Army officer who was imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution for “capitalist offenses”. Today she is one of the world’s richest self-made women, with an estimated fortune of $1.6 billion. In the early 1980s, as a dogsbody in a paper mill, she noted that the waste paper her superiors so casually discarded was actually worth something. She has been capitalizing on her insight ever since.

OSLO, August 29, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- Norway condemns attack on UN building in Nigeria
“I strongly condemn today's attack on the UN building in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. We were deeply saddened to hear that a Norwegian UN employee is among those who were killed,” said Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
A 30-year-old Norwegian woman was killed in the attack on the UN offices in Abuja today.
“Our thoughts go to the families of all those affected by this tragedy,” said Mr Støre.
“Such acts of violence are completely unacceptable, and Norway condemns all use of terror. Those responsible must be brought to justice,” said Mr Støre.
“It is particularly worrying that the attacks were targeted at the UN, which works to promote peace and development. Our sympathy goes to the UN and the people and authorities of Nigeria,” said the Foreign Minister.

Is The Nigerian Government Scared Of Multinational Oil Companies?
Every administration of the Nigerian government has failed to prosecute the multinational oil companies destroying the communities of oil producing states in the Niger Delta.
The Nigerian Navy has failed to stop oil thieves from overseas who have been engaged in illegal bunkering and stealing hundreds of thousands of barrels of our crude oil. And multinational oil companies have not been paying all the required taxes. Chevron Nigeria Limited has been indicted for tax evasion and the mainstream news media compromised the ethics of the press by not publishing the scandalous impunity of Chevron and other multinational oil companies in Nigeria. Even when I wanted to pay for an advert on their crimes, the mainstream newspapers asked me not to identify them, because they did not want to lose the patronage of Chevron and other multinational oil companies.

Japan gives more Assistance to Peacekeeping Training Centers in Nigeria and other African countries
9 Aug 2011 15:12 Africa/Lagos
Japan's Additional Assistance to Peacekeeping Training Centers in Africa
TOKYO, August 9, 2011/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- On Tuesday, August 9, the Government of Japan has provided additional assistance to Peacekeeping Training Centers in Africa, amounting to 2.7 million US dollars (240.3 million yen). Out of this assistance, 500,000 US dollars will be additionally provided to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Ghana and the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA) in Egypt respectively, 800,000 US dollars additionally to the International Peace Support Training Center (IPSTC) in Kenya, as well as 900,000 US dollars newly to the ISS Peace Academy (ISSPA) in Ethiopia.
Although a number of conflicts and civil wars are being settled in Africa, there remain volatile countries and regions and six UN peacekeeping operations (one of which is an AU [African Union] / UN hybrid operation) and one peacekeeping mission of the AU are in operation on the continent. Japan, recognizing that training of personnel is essential in implementing effective peacekeeping operations, has been providing assistance to peacekeeping training centers throughout Africa for the promotion of the capacity of African countries in peacekeeping. Japan intends to continue effective assistance, including the dispatch of lecturers.
[Note] Japan's cooperation to peacekeeping training centers in Africa
The Government of Japan provided assistance amounting to approximately 14.5 million US dollars in total in 2008 to five peacekeeping training centers in Africa (in Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mali and Rwanda) for the construction and rehabilitation of facilities, provision of equipment such as computers and the conduct of training courses, among other forms of assistance. In the fiscal year of 2009, Japan extended its assistance to three more centers (in Benin, Nigeria and South Africa), which amounted to approximately 4 million US dollars in total, and in 2010 (fiscal year), it provided additional assistance to three centers (in Egypt, Ghana and Mali) and new assistance to one center in Cameroon (approximately 2.52 million US dollars in total). Japan has up to now sent 18 Japanese lecturers (7 Self-Defense-Force personnel and 11 civilians) to four centers. More than 1,800 military, police and civilian personnel have been trained through Japan's assistance to date. The Government of Japan has transmitted 2.7 million US dollars, the assistance to Peacekeeping Training Centers for the fiscal year of 2011, to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Each center will receive the assistance through the UNDP.

The Greatest Ambition Of Nigerian Women Should Not End In The Bedroom
The greatest ambition of Nigerian women ends in the bedroom while the greatest ambition of Nigerian men ends in the boardroom.
Majority of Nigerian women are more desperate to marry than Nigerian men.
In fact, majority of Igbo parents send their daughters to school to increase their material value more for marriage than careers.
The higher standards of education you have, the higher bride price and greater matrimonial status.
You are exposed to more men who are the potential suitors. Whereas the first and foremost priority of majority of Nigerian men is to be successful in their careers to increase their purchasing power to afford a good accommodation, a good car/SUV and a good wife or trophy girlfriend.
Many Nigerian men are still single, because they are yet to achieve this priority and there are not many choices of good women or trophy girlfriends to marry in Nigeria. Because, Nigerian men have been relegating majority of Nigerian women to the background and have ended up with more liabilities of millions of Nigerian girls and women who live at the mercy of men.
Nigerian women have their dreams and God has given everyone a unique purpose in life to fulfill your destiny. Therefore, do not let any Nigerian man make you give up your dreams to make a positive impact in your community and our society.
Any man who loves you will help you to succeed from the bedroom to the top of the boardroom.
Stephanie Okereke is a Nigerian actress who is fulfilling her noble dreams to make Nigeria better and greater.
We need more female CEOs than baby factories in Nigeria.
God made you to be more of a helpmate than bed mate.
Use your brains to excel and not your loins.
Amy Dubois Barnett is a leading African American woman fulfilling her American Dream as the Editor-in-Chief of the popular EBONY magazine.
A senior Nigerian banker was dating a very beautiful Nollywood actress from Akwa Ibom and said that he would prefer her to give up her acting career and goal to be a software engineer and be his wife with a supermarket. I advised her to dump him and she did. Then the other man told me that he would persuade her to stop acting to prevent her from being tempted and lured away by randy Nollywood actors and other big guys.
You see the inferiority complex behind the egos of these Nigerian men?
Nigerian men would prefer their women to end up eating from their hands to the women being independent.
Nigerian men feel better when they can show off their status symbols of posh cars or SUVs, luxury apartments and seven-digit salary positions to Nigerian girls and ladies, but get goose pimples and jittery when the Nigerian women are equally upwardly mobile top executives you cannot bluff.
